It’s still a bit early to be thinking of cold weather where I live but I am sure that before we know it, fall will be on its way!  Regardless of the weather, hats are great projects to make for gifts and tend to take less concentration than larger patterns.

This hat is quite easy to knit.  It uses a simple cable to get the spiral effect so if you are new to cable knitting, this pattern will be great to get in some practice.

When I started designing this hat, I had this spiraled pattern in mind but I didn’t know that the yarn would also spiral so well!  It was just meant to be.  There are tons of other color combinations in this yarn as well if you like how the coloring turned out.

For this hat, I used one skein of Luna Paints by Cascade in Pool Party, linked below.  I have also linked some of the other painted colors, some of my favorite solids, and the needles I used.

I hope that you enjoy this ski cap as much as I do.  Let me know if you have any feedback or questions and please subscribe if you like my patterns and want to support me along my journey!

With love, Kaitlin
