Sheer Floral Cardigan
Two of my very favorite fall trends this year are warm florals and suede! This neutral printed floral is perfect for fall and compliments traditional autumn tones.
Where I live, the weather is still around 90 degrees during the afternoon. The best thing about this sheer cardigan is that it makes you feel like you are dressing warmer without making you overheat!
The assembly and sizing of this cardigan is super easy. Because of the kimono style cut, I would consider this to be one size fits most. The drape of the fabric is flattering on a wide variety of body types. If you are a larger or smaller size, you can adjust the fit accordingly by adding or subtracting width.
I picked up this exact fabric on sale at Hancock Fabrics before they closed and the fringe was leftover from the Faux Suede Skirt fabric I shared on Monday (here). Any sheer or flowy fabric will work great but I have linked my favorites in the images below. I also shared a tassel trim at the bottom if you prefer tassel over fringe!
To begin, you will need 2 yards of your chosen fabric. Cutting this fabric is super easy because the body is done in one piece! Follow the cutting diagram below.
Once you have your fabric cut, you are ready to assemble! Test your stitch on a piece of the scrap fabric before sewing. You will most likely need to loosen your thread tension and use a longer stitch length.
With that, I hope you enjoy your new flowy fall cardigan! Let me know if you have any questions!
With Love, Kaitlin
