Faux Suede Skirt

Suede is the perfect texture for fall, and really any season! Blue suede is a classic and something that I have been obsessed with lately.

Making this skirt is super easy and can quickly be done in an afternoon. To begin, you will need to measure your waist and the length that you want the skirt to fall. I did a longer mini-skirt length but an ankle length midi skirt would also look amazing and super trendy for fall.

Once you have your waist measurement, you will need to divide it by 8 and then add a half inch for seam allowances for the top edge of the pieces. For the length of the bottom edge you will take that number and multiply it by 3. I explain this better in the diagram below. The fabric for this skirt is cut in 8 identical pieces. Like I said--super easy!

Follow the diagram below to assemble this skirt. When pressing seams, make sure to iron on the lowest setting without steam. Test your iron on a piece of scrap fabric to make sure it doesn't leave a mark.

Like I said, this is a super easy skirt to make and can really become a wonderful staple to your fall wardrobe.  The topstitch in the accent white really upgrades this skirt to something that looks polished, with beautiful details. Enjoy!
